haha yes plz show him! We all think about Chester so much, I wonder what he'll think of my bold take on adding a female singer.

Late to the party but this article reflects a lot of my thoughts from a few months ago while a lot of Linkin Park fans were being pessimistic about having a female singer (or any new singer in general).

Honestly she is killing it. New album rocks, fans should be happy at the miracle they continued at all and got a talented frontwoman that clicks with the band at that, let alone a tour

I agree, she's doing great. I think she has room for improvement on live vocals, but it's amazing that she can hold her own singing songs that were not made for her, while still adding her own style and attitude. The new album was actually very solid, honestly way better than some of their more recent releases before Chester's death. I get why some people were concerned regarding the whole Scientology thing, but I was rather annoyed about what I felt was unnecessary hatred toward her and the band itself. I read that she and Chester were friends before too...

Her live singing when she sings her own stuff is spot on, i would agree with improvement with songs not made for her which is the older chester stuff.. as I think she tries imitates chester a bit much and she should put her own spins on it.

.. ya drama aside, ppl were already fishing out any dirt or just reasons to hate on her from the start. Even tiktok compillations of her fail vocal moments instead of the 95% of the time she sounded good. She has chemistry with Mike and made the band excited to make music and tour again and thats what matters.

I think you’ve nailed it by saying it isn’t about replacing him, no one can replace Chester and everyone knows that. It’s about honoring him and allowing them to move forward. They deserve that and I think Chester would be more than ok with that.

Thanks!! I really think its the only way for them to move fwd, and for whoever will be their new singer to accept their role fully. Without feeling like they’re having to do their best impression on the job but rather bring their uniqueness in the band

I totally agree. I’ve seen some takes where people want someone who sounds like Chester, which is no easy feat but also that makes it feel more like a tribute band instead of a band that can stand on their feet as something uniquely them. I would love to see a female vocalist I think it would really mix things up in a fun way.

Nailed it with that trying to avoid sounding like a tribute band. A female lead solves this!
